Sydney
We are seeking a Graduate Façade / Structural Engineer to join our team and gain hands-on experience across a variety of high-profile projects. This role offers exposure to façade and structural design, site activities, and client engagement, supported by experienced engineers.
Opportunities
- Gain experience contributing to the design of façade systems, including glazing, aluminium framing, metal cladding, stone cladding, tiling, and GRC
- Learn to assist in the design of steel, reinforced, prestressed and post-tensioned concrete, composite, and timber structures
- Develop skills in structural analysis using engineering software, spreadsheets, and hand calculations under supervision
- Build knowledge in weatherproofing, thermal performance, and condensation assessments of façade components
- Observe and participate in site inspections alongside senior engineers
- Learn to engage with clients through meetings, phone calls, emails, and Microsoft Teams under guidance
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing site inspection reports and technical documentation in collaboration with senior engineers
- Contribute professionally to project meetings and client communications
- Support structural calculations and engineering assessments, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Apply engineering software and follow best-practice procedures under supervision
Requirements
- Recent graduate in Façade, Structural, or Civil Engineering
- Basic knowledge of Australian Standards and relevant design codes
- Understanding of the NCC (BCA) and codes relevant to façade engineering
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Willingness to learn and develop analytical and design skills, with or without engineering software
