We are seeking a Senior Façade / Structural Engineer to join our team and contribute to a diverse range of high-profile projects. This role combines technical delivery, team leadership, and client engagement across both façade and structural engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to the design of façade systems, including glazing, aluminium framing, metal cladding, stone cladding, tiling, GRC, and GRP
  • Deliver structural design across steel, reinforced, prestressed and post-tensioned concrete, composite, and timber structures
  • Undertake and oversee structural analysis using engineering software, spreadsheets, and hand calculations, including QA of outputs across teams
  • Lead the preparation and review of façade performance assessments, including weatherproofing, thermal, and condensation analysis
  • Oversee the preparation of technical reports, sketches, and documentation across all project stages
  • Supervise and mentor Junior and Design Engineers, providing technical guidance and reviewing deliverables for accuracy and consistency
  • Coordinate with drafting teams to deliver drawings aligned with project requirements, timeframes, and budgets
  • Prepare and review take-offs and fee proposals in line with company standards, including QA across teams
  • Manage project delivery, including programme, budget, resourcing, and cost control

We are seeking an experienced and driven Designer / Drafter to join our award-winning consultancy. This role offers the opportunity to work on technically complex façade and structural projects both locally and internationally, as part of a highly collaborative and innovative multi-disciplinary team. The position involves leading the technical drafting and modelling delivery of façade and structural packages, working closely with Engineers and supporting Junior Drafters to ensure high-quality outcomes across all project stages, from concept development through to construction and site inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the production of high-quality 2D drawings and 3D models for façade and structural systems, including steel, concrete, timber, glazing, and composite assemblies.
  • Working on interstate and international projects across a diverse range of building types.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to Junior Drafters, reviewing outputs, and assisting with resource planning and workflow coordination.
  • Liaising directly with Engineers and Clients to support smooth project delivery and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Developing and maintaining company CAD/BIM standards, templates, libraries, and document control procedures.
  • Coordinating drawing packages across multiple disciplines and managing consultant interfaces.
  • Participating in site inspections, project meetings, and contributing to technical documentation and reports.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification or trade/technical background in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3+ years relevant experience in façade with senior-level responsibility.
  • Strong experience across a wide range of facade systems, including but not limited to glazing systems (window wall, curtain wall, stick system, skylights, etc.), metal cladding, masonry, CFC, terracotta/ceramic, composite facades & associated interfaces.
  • Experience in DBPA projects drafting will be considered advantageous.
  • Experience in structural drafting will be considered advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing detailed structural drawings for steel, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, and timber structures.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modelling software (e.g. Revit, Rhino, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, shop drawing standards, and buildability considerations.
  • Ability to interpret engineering concepts, design intent, and technical specifications accurately.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
